Ubiquiti UniFi FAQs

These are the questions that usually matter when we are deciding whether Ubiquiti UniFi is the right fit for a project.

Why choose Ubiquiti UniFi for a larger smart home?

UniFi is useful when a property needs coordinated gateways, managed switching, multiple wired access points, PoE devices, cameras, and centralized management. We design the network around the floor plan, construction, coverage goals, device count, and future expansion.

How many UniFi access points does my home need?

There is no reliable one-size-fits-all number. Square footage, wall materials, ceiling height, neighboring RF activity, outdoor areas, client devices, and cabling paths all matter. We plan AP locations around coverage and roaming instead of trying to overpower the house from one location.

Can UniFi support cameras and smart-home equipment too?

Yes. UniFi networks can support PoE cameras, automation controllers, touchscreens, streaming devices, AV equipment, and other connected devices. We can also segment device groups where that makes sense for performance, management, or security.

Do you install the rack, switch, gateway, and cabling too?

Yes. Our networking projects can include the gateway, managed switches, PoE infrastructure, access points, rack organization, patching, labeling, testing, and coordination with the internet provider.

Can you improve an existing UniFi system instead of replacing everything?

Often yes. We can evaluate the existing gateway, switches, AP locations, cabling, controller configuration, and coverage problems, then determine what can be reused and what should be upgraded.

Can you separate guest, owner, camera, and smart-device networks?

Where appropriate, yes. Separate SSIDs or network segments can make a larger property easier to manage, especially for vacation homes, cameras, automation devices, and owner-only systems.

Do you provide support after installation?

Yes. We document and test the system, provide a client walkthrough, and support the installation afterward. Elite installation labor is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
