Anthem AV electronics & ARC Genesis

Anthem is where serious theater electronics meet serious room correction.

Anthem is Paradigm’s sister electronics brand and one of Elite’s primary choices for premium home theater receivers, processors, and amplification. The real differentiator is not just power—it is the combination of flexible system architecture, clean amplification, and Anthem Room Correction (ARC Genesis).

What makes Anthem stand out

Built for systems that deserve more than a one-button receiver setup.

Anthem focuses heavily on home theater electronics rather than trying to be everything to everyone. That lets the line concentrate on processing, amplification, bass management, control integration, and ARC Genesis—areas that directly affect how a high-performance theater sounds in the room.

ARC Genesis

ARC measures the room and creates correction filters for supported Anthem systems. We use it to address room-driven response issues while preserving the character of the speakers.

MRX receivers

MRX models combine surround processing and onboard amplification for projects where one chassis is the cleanest solution.

AVM processors

AVM processors separate surround processing from amplification, giving us more freedom to size external amplifiers and upgrade the system in stages.

MCA amplification

Anthem’s MCA power amplifiers are designed to pair with Anthem processors and premium loudspeakers when the room or speaker load calls for dedicated amplification.

Products & systems

The Anthem products we design around most often.

MRX Series

Premium AV receivers for immersive theater systems. Current models support modern HDMI/video formats, Dolby Atmos/DTS:X-class surround processing, ARC Genesis, and flexible preamp outputs.

AVM Series

Surround processors for theaters using separate power amplification. This is often the cleaner path for larger Paradigm systems or clients who want a more modular upgrade path.

MCA Power Amplifiers

Dedicated multichannel amplification for systems where speaker performance, headroom, and channel count justify separating power amps from the processor.

MRX SLM

A slimline Anthem receiver for installations where rack depth or visible equipment space is limited and a lower-profile chassis makes the project possible.

How Elite installs Anthem

ARC is only as useful as the setup around it.

We verify speaker assignments, distances, levels, crossover strategy, subwoofer placement, HDMI behavior, source configuration, and control before calibration. Then ARC becomes the finishing tool—not a substitute for good system design.

  • Receiver vs processor/amplifier system design
  • Paradigm speaker and Anthem electronics matching
  • ARC Genesis microphone measurement and target review
  • Subwoofer integration and bass-management setup
  • HDMI/eARC and source configuration
  • Control-system and remote integration
  • Rack ventilation, power, labeling, and service access
  • Final listening verification and client walkthrough

Questions customers actually ask

Anthem FAQs

What is the difference between an Anthem MRX receiver and an AVM processor?

An MRX combines processing and some power amplification in one chassis. An AVM is a processor only, so it requires separate amplifiers. AVM-based systems make sense when we want more amplifier flexibility, more channels, or a modular upgrade path.

Is ARC Genesis the same thing as Audyssey or Dirac?

They are all room-correction platforms, but they use different measurement workflows, filter strategies, target-curve tools, and hardware ecosystems. ARC is Anthem’s platform and is deeply integrated into Anthem electronics and supported Paradigm products.

Will ARC fix a bad room or bad speaker placement?

No correction system can completely overcome poor speaker locations, severe acoustic problems, or a bad subwoofer position. We solve the physical layout first and use ARC to refine the result.

Do I need an external Anthem amplifier with an MRX receiver?

Not always. It depends on the speaker load, room size, playback level, and channel count. We may use the MRX’s internal channels, add external amplification for the front stage, or move to a fully separated processor/amplifier design.

Can Anthem run multiple subwoofers?

Current Anthem platforms provide flexible subwoofer outputs, but the exact number and independent processing capabilities vary by model. We choose the electronics around the actual bass-system design.

Is Anthem a good match for Paradigm speakers?

Yes. They are sister brands and are frequently paired. We still size the amplifier and processor to the specific Paradigm models and room rather than assuming every Anthem component is appropriate for every speaker.
