Paradigm loudspeakers · flagship audio brand at Elite
Paradigm is the primary loudspeaker brand Elite Home Entertainment carries and promotes for serious home theater, two-channel music, architectural audio, and subwoofer systems. The line gives us a rare amount of range: statement-level floorstanding speakers, dedicated theater LCRs, discreet in-wall and in-ceiling solutions, and room-corrected bass.

Why Paradigm stands out
Paradigm has designed and engineered loudspeakers in Canada since 1982 and has a long relationship with acoustic research associated with Canada’s National Research Council. That science-first approach shows up throughout the line: controlled dispersion, low-distortion driver systems, rigid cabinets, purpose-built architectural products, and integration with Anthem Room Correction in select powered bass products.
Founder and other premium Paradigm products are designed, engineered, and crafted at Paradigm’s Canadian facility rather than being treated as generic private-label speakers.
Founder uses technologies such as AL-MAC high-frequency drivers, AL-MAG midrange drivers, PPA phase-aligning lenses, OSW waveguides, ART surrounds, and vibration-control systems to manage distortion and room interaction.
Paradigm’s custom-install catalog lets us keep the sound quality consistent when a client needs in-wall, in-ceiling, LCR, surround, or hidden-bass solutions.
Because Paradigm and Anthem are sister brands, we can design speaker, amplification, processing, bass management, and ARC calibration as one system rather than a collection of unrelated boxes.
The Paradigm families we discuss most
Our go-to conversation when a client wants a serious visible loudspeaker for a premium theater or music room. Founder can be used as a two-channel system or built into a multichannel theater. The 120H adds powered bass and ARC capability inside the loudspeaker itself.
Paradigm’s flagship statement series. Persona is the line for clients chasing the highest level of transparency and refinement, including beryllium-based high-frequency and midrange technology on key models.
A strong step into high-performance Paradigm without going all the way to Founder. It is especially useful when we want matching towers, bookshelf speakers, center channels, and LCRs for a cohesive theater.
Architectural in-wall and in-ceiling families for whole-home audio, media rooms, surround channels, and installations where the speakers need to visually disappear into the room.
Powered subwoofers with app-based setup and ARC on supported models. That matters because bass response is heavily influenced by room dimensions and placement; correcting the subwoofer to the room can be more valuable than simply buying a larger box.
Paradigm also gives us in-wall bass options for projects where a freestanding subwoofer conflicts with furniture, traffic flow, or interior design.

How Elite designs Paradigm systems
We start with the room dimensions, seating positions, listening priorities, construction, aesthetics, and desired playback levels. From there we determine speaker family, placement, subwoofer strategy, amplifier requirements, processing, wiring, and room-correction plan.
Questions customers actually ask us
It depends on whether the speakers will be visible, the size of the room, listening distance, desired output, and how critical music listening is. Founder is usually the conversation for premium visible speakers; Premier is a strong performance/value step below it; CI Home, CI Pro, and CI Elite are for architectural applications where the room design calls for in-wall or in-ceiling speakers.
They can sound excellent when the correct model, wall construction, placement, amplification, and subwoofer strategy are used. A freestanding cabinet gives the manufacturer more control over the enclosure, but a well-designed architectural system can deliver very high performance while disappearing visually.
Usually we still evaluate dedicated subwoofers for home theater because low-frequency effects and seat-to-seat bass consistency are different goals from simply having a full-range front speaker. Founder 120H has powered bass, but a theater may still benefit from one or more dedicated subs depending on room size and goals.
Anthem Room Correction measures how the room is affecting supported speakers or subwoofers and applies correction within the system’s capabilities. It is especially useful in the bass region, where room modes can create large peaks and nulls that cannot be solved by changing volume alone.
Yes, and that is common in premium theaters. We keep the front soundstage focused on the performance target, then use appropriate Paradigm architectural models for surrounds and height channels when the room needs a cleaner look.
That depends on the room, seating area, output target, and how even you want bass to be across multiple seats. Two or more subs can often produce smoother seat-to-seat bass than one larger sub, but we determine placement and quantity from the room rather than using a fixed rule.
Our focus is professionally designed and installed systems. We supply the equipment specified for the project, install it correctly, integrate it with the electronics and control system, then tune and verify the result.
Contact us about the specific series you are considering. Availability of demonstration equipment varies, but we can discuss the differences between the product families and help narrow the system before purchase.
